"Osvey" is a light multi-purpose 19-seat turboprop aircraft with a high wing. The aircraft is being developed within the framework of the Comprehensive Interdepartmental Cooperation Program between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the field of aircraft construction. JSC "Ural Civil Aviation Plant" (Yekaterinburg) and OJSC "558 Aviation Repair Plant" are involved in the development.
"Osvey" is intended for the needs of state aviation, with the possibility of use in civil aviation, including for commercial air transportation on local and regional air lines. The designers are tasked with creating an aircraft that combines high performance and efficiency in transporting passengers and cargo over short and medium distances. The distinctive features of the aircraft should be exceptional reliability and safety in operation, including in extreme climatic conditions.
A VK-800 turboprop engine is planned to be installed as the power unit, and the onboard equipment is a complex developed by JSC "Concern Radioelectronic Technologies".
