“Osvey” is a light multipurpose 19-seat high-wing turbo propelled aircraft. The aircraft is being developed within the framework of the Comprehensive Interdepartmental Cooperation Program between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the field of aircraft manufacturing. JSC “Ural Works of Civil Aviation” (Ekaterinburg) and JSC “558 Aircraft Repair Plant” are involved in the development.
“Osvey” is designed for the needs of state aviation, with the possibility of use in civil aviation, including for commercial air transportation on local and regional air routes. The designers are tasked with creating an aircraft that combines high performance and efficiency when transporting passengers and cargo over short and medium distances. The distinctive features of the aircraft should be exceptional reliability and safety in operation, including in extreme climatic conditions.
It is planned to install a ВК-800 turboprop engine as a power unit, and the on-board equipment is a complex developed by JSC “Concern Radioelectronic Technologies” (“KRET”).
